Thule has an exciting opportunity for a Quality System Coordinator at our Seymour facility. This position will lead the implementing and maintenance of the ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016 quality management system, ISO 14001:2015 environmental management system, and ISO 45001:2018 health and safety management system. Will also manage OEM customers and expectations for quality requirements and portals and environmental requests from customers and Thule products.
- Create/maintain documentation, logs and procedures in accordance with ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 standards
- Help create or improve and implement quality, environmental and health /safety systems, processes and programs
- Lead person coordinating daily Quality activities
- Help develop/maintain a training program and training matrix for all departments to ensure ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 compliance
- Prepare PPAP documentation for OEM customers
- Review and approve IMDS (International Material Data System) submissions
- Review and implement changes from OEM portals, customer documentation
- Ensure acceptance criteria for finished & semi-finished products are adequately defined and followed
- Help maintain vendor quality requirements
- Conduct layered process audits of finished goods and report results
- Conduct Internal ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018 Audits
- Facilitate FMEA’s, Risk Analysis and Core Quality tools
- Support Lean Manufacturing/5S initiatives by collecting and reporting on key metrics
- Assist/train in IMDS, REACH, Thule P&R and environmental requirements
- Support any environmental requests from customers
- Train and assist Quality Associates in assigned job tasks
The requirements are:
- 3-5 years of experience in quality management system
- Good understanding of Quality Systems development and implementation, auditing, receiving goods sampling and inspection methods (including surface plate and comparator), quality tools and techniques, SPC/SQC, and ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 standards.
- Good understanding of Lean Manufacturing and IMDS (International Material Data System) principles
- Computer skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint) Knowledge of M3 systems
- Must be self-motivated and action-oriented and have proven skills in multitasking and decision making
- Good oral and written communication skills
