JOB SUMMARY:

The demand planner is responsible for demand planning within assigned BU/Region. They will assist in all demand planning duties including estimating future product demand, analyzing inventory flow, and developing forecast models with the goal of maximizing customer satisfaction and minimizing supply chain costs. The demand planner will be also responsible for data processing and associated issues related to Forecasts and other Operational needs defined by manager

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Enter/develop and maintain forecast in demand planning software
  • Maintain forecast and demand reporting; develop and report metrics and trend analysis to track forecast accuracy and forecast bias
  • Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy
  • Address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner
  • Maintain backlog and inventory shortages reports
  • Assist production departments in capacity planning
  • Manage new item setup in MRP Plan including Item master, and forecast entry
  • Maintain monthly demand/forecast reports for S&OP meetings, and ensure all data is prepared ahead of time
  • Maintain various operational and business metrics and charts
  • Other functions as required and assigned by the Manager

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or other relevant fields
  • Excellent computer skills with database experience
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to communicate technical information
  • Ability to identify, analyze, define, develop plans, and implements changes to computer-related systems
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a demand planning/forecasting role
  • Working knowledge of demand planning software (SO99+ – Optilon preferred)
  • Working knowledge of ERP and MRP systems (Oracle/Infor M3 preferred)
  • QlikView experience (preferred)
